Ivo Sauter (SIX Digital Exchange - SDX )

Ivo Sauter (SIX Group)

Six Group is the largest financial center and official stock exchange in Switzerland, SIX group has been building its own digital infrastructure, SIX Digital Exchange since 2018. Ivo is presently a member of the management team and Chief Client Officer of Six Digital Exchange (SDX) in Zürich. He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial markets. Prior to SIX Digital Exchange, Ivo worked in Falcon Private Bank, Bank Julius Baer, Citibank and Credit Suisse with various leadership positions. In his previous role as Head Trading & Operations at Falcon Private Bank he was also responsible for the conceptualization and launch of their crypto-asset offering. Ivo has a keen interest in Fintech, in particular the applications of Blockchain and its regulatory implications.

Urs Bernegger (Seba Bank)

Urs is Head of Trading & Liquidity Management at SEBA Bank. He is a co-founder and a member of the Board of Managing Directors of Seba Bank. Prior to SEBA, he spent over 30 years as a foreign exchange trader in the traditional financial markets. He worked for UBS in the US and Switzerland and led the global spot exchange and precious metals trading business before joining Bank Vontobel to manage its foreign exchange business in Zurich. Since 2016, he has been involved in various Fintech and Blockchain initiatives. Urs is a member of the crypto working group of the ACI Financial Markets Association (ACIFMA).


Matthew Niemerg (Aleph Zero)

Matthew Niemerg, Ph.D. earned a Ph.D. in mathematics in the area of applied algebraic geometry from Colorado State University in 2014. Matthew has held world renowned postdoctoral positions in Korea, China, Canada, and the US. He is a Simons-Berkeley Fellow at the Simons Institute and also a former IBM Center of Excellence Postdoctoral Fellow in high performance computing at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Matthew has been actively involved in the blockchain space since 2014. In addition, he is the President of Aleph Zero. The firm develops a distributed ledger platform that uniquely solves the blockchain trilemma by using a novel asynchronous Byzantine fault tolerant DAG-based protocol at its core. The Aleph protocol maximizes the three attributes of a well-designed permissionless distributed ledger, namely, decentralization, scalability, and security and has been peer-reviewed by the leading academic and industry professionals. The Aleph platform is designed to handle billions of users and achieve a high transaction throughput with low confirmation times while operating with the highest security standards.

Gerald Goh (Sygnum)

Gerald Goh is Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Sygnum Singapore. Prior to that, he was the Head of Alternative Investments for CrimsoNox Capital, a prominent Asian family office. In that capacity, he served as a member of the investment committee and had primary responsibility for managing the family office’s portfolio of private equity and venture capital investments. Before that, he was a Managing Director with leading global investment firm, Cambridge Associates (CA), where he focused on private investments and worked with numerous sovereign wealth funds, endowments and foundations, pension funds, and family offices over a period of 11 years to build and monitor their private equity and venture capital programs. He also co-established CA’s Beijing office in 2011 and served on the firm’s global Private Investments Research Committee. Gerald holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, summa cum laude, from the Singapore Management University.


Anton Golub (FlovTech)

Anton Golub is the founder and CEO of Flov Technologies, an impact investment manager with a purpose to unlock digital assets by providing liquidity. Anton is also a co-founder of Trust Square AG, a pre-eminent blockchain technology hub located in Zurich's financial district. In 2013 Anton co-founded Lykke Corp, a Swiss based company that is building a global marketplace on top of the blockchain for the free exchange of digital assets. Prior to Lykke, he worked as a quantitative researcher at Olsen Ltd, an asset management firm that pioneered the field of computerized trading. As a Marie Curie Research Fellow at the Manchester Business School, Anton worked on high-frequency trading, market micro-structure and flash crashes. In 2012 he was invited to participate in the Foresight Project - The Future of Computer Trading in Financial Markets, an international project on algorithmic trading funded by HM Treasury in the UK. Anton has also been involved in several research projects backed by the European Union (EU) and he is currently in the Supervisory Board for the BigDataFinance project funded through Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. He has co-authored 13 academic papers and two books.

 

Wee-Meng Thoo (Leonie Hill Capital)

Wee Meng manages Venture Tech Fund, investing in deep technologies disrupting industries like in Aerospace, Communication, Healthcare, Banking, Financial Services & Insurance, Automotive, and recently Ageing Population where he advices portfolio companies in Product Engineering, Commercialization, Intellectual Properties and Regulatory & Compliances strategies.

With over 18 years of in-depth operational management experiences in global technology companies like Hewlett Packard, Sun Microsystems, Computer Associates, VMware, Qtel, Huawei and NEC since in the 90s where he held several leadership positions in Software Engineering, Head of Sales and Alliances, Chief Commercial Officer managing the Asia Pacific and Middle East markets, working in cross border markets, he plays an active role in expanding the geographical reach for portfolio companies in strategic collaborations, joint IP development and licensing, and M&A activities.


Leeor Groen (Blockchain Valley Ventures)

Leeor Groen is a Principal at BV Ventures, a Swiss venture capital firm investing into and supporting blockchain-enabled businesses, and a Founding Board Member of the World Innovations Forum Foundation, an independent NGO dedicated to enabling prosperity for all nations through innovation and entrepreneurship. He actively contributes to the public discussion on technology, society, finance and the environment and is a member of the World Economic Forums Global Shapers community. Now based between Zurich and Singapore, Leeor has lived and worked professionally in the UK, Norway, Switzerland and Singapore since graduating from the University of Melbourne in 2013.

 

Alisher Tashpulatov (Crypto Finance)

Alisher Tashpulatov is Head of Asia Pacific for Crypto Finance. Before taking up this role, he spearheaded key business developments with the asset management business as a Relationship Manager at Crypto Fund AG. Prior to joining the Crypto Finance Group, Alisher held various positions in Private Banking and Custody at Brown Brothers Harriman in the US and Luxembourg. He has also been involved with Crozdesk Ltd. in London, as an investor director. Alisher Tashpulatov studied Business Administration and Finance at Northeastern University in Boston.


Ken Kawai

Ken Kawai has extensive experience advising financial institutions, fintech startups, investors and corporate clients on complex finance and financial regulatory matters. Ken's focuses primarily on the fintech industry, and regularly advises fintech companies, financial institutions, international organizations and industry organizations on legal issues surrounding fintech, including the complex legal framework governing cryptocurrencies, initial coin offerings and blockchain.

Ken also specializes in derivatives, and has counseled global banks, broker-dealers and investors on regulatory matters and best practices in respect of derivatives and related products. He derives his deep and practical knowledge in this area from his 17-year career at MUFG Bank, Ltd. (formerly known as The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi and, prior to that, The Bank of Tokyo Ltd.), where he was involved in derivatives trading and marketing.

 

Dr. Sothy Kol-Men

Dr. Sothy Kol-Men, Senior Counsel, advises banks, fund managers and fintechs on DLT, digital assets, Blockchain and fund regulatory questions. Sothy has many years of leadership experience and served, inter alia, as CEO of a fund manager of a Swiss-Liechtenstein-based banking group. He is a seasoned strategy and regulatory expert with a deep understanding of capital markets, regulatory affairs, cryptoassets and security tokens. Currently, Sothy serves as a member of the board of directors and advisor of diverse fintechs in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. In addition, he is the President of SACA (Swiss Asia Crypto Alliance). He holds a PhD in Law and is an alumni of the University in the Principality of Liechtenstein. His doctorate thesis is about the regulation of alternative investment funds in Liechtenstein.

Jürg Baltensperger

Jürg is an experienced regulatory expert with focus on cryptocurrency & blockchain compliance. Jürg is the founder and Managing Director of the Swiss company JayBee Ltd. which provides regulatory consulting for blockchain companies, supporting clients to become regulated in Switzerland as well as overtaking the role as external AML Officer. Jürg was the former Head Risk, Legal & Compliance of Centrum Bank (Switzerland) and previously supported Rothschild Bank as Compliance Officer. In addition, he is engaged as lecturer at the Universities of Applied Sciences IFZ (Zug), HWZ (Zurich) and ZHAW (Winterthur). The topics he is covering are Corporate Governance, Risk Management as well as Compliance Management including cryptocurrency & blockchain compliance.

Hong, Sangjin ( Chain Cabinet)

Sangjin is an experienced entrepreneur and investor with decades of IT, software and management experience. He is a co-founder and CEO of Chain Cabinet, a Seoul based blockchain investment fund. Sangjin was previously a partner at Kstartup, Seoul’s preeminent startup accelerator, which funded and launched over 50 businesses. Sangjin also managed Korea for the expert network company Gerson Lehman Group and was a management consultant for Monitor Group. He started his career at Microsoft as a Product Manager and has been a member of the Korean tech community for more than 20 years. Sangjin has a B.S. in Computer Science/Mathematics, Carnegie Mellon University.


DANIEL M. SHIN

Luxury Executive, Venture Capitalist, and Executive Scholar in Seoul, South Korea

Daniel M. Shin is a venture capitalist and senior luxury fashion executive. He is a founding member and partner of KingsBay Capital, a cross-border venture capital firm based in San Francisco and Seoul. He also oversees corporate and business development work at MCM, a German luxury brand. Prior to that, He served in various executive and management roles at Hanwha Group (DreamPlus), Korea Telecom (Strategic Investment Group), Daesung Group (BiNEXT), CJ Group (NetMarble) and Accenture (Strategy & Business Architect Practice Group). He has published several books and is a frequent speaker around the globe on the subjects related to innovation policy, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, reputation risk, alternative investment, future of education and so forth. He was nominated to be a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum at Davos in 2016 and also honored to become a Yale World Fellow under Yale University's former president Levin's legacy in 2013.

 

Park, Min Yeong

Minyeong Park is Legal Manager at HDAC Technology where she provides legal advice related to all business matters including blockchain and crypto- related financial regulations.

After her bar admission in the Republic of Korea in 2013, she worked mainly on corporate M&A, structured financing and project financing as in-house legal counsel at Korea Western Power Corp. and Hyundai Group.

Cho, Won Hee

Cho, Won H. is a founding member and partner at D’LIGHT Law Group, where he advises start-ups, VCs, local and multinational corporations, governmental agencies, and non-profit organizations in areas such as blockchain, technology M&A, healthcare, and entertainment. He has recently distinguished himself as a pioneering figure in the area of legal advisory services regarding blockchain and cryptocurrency.

Mr. Cho served first as an associate and later as a partner of Bae, Kim & Lee LLC for a total of 16 years, leading BKL’s prominent intellectual property and technology transaction practices. He has also worked on secondment at Ropes & Gray (New York) in 2014 in the firm’s Intellectual Property division. He is now an adjunct professor at KAIST-MIP (Master of Intellectual Property) and serves in leadership roles at various local and state organizations, including the Korea Fair Trade Commission Advisory Committee, Korean Intellectual Property Office, US Korea Law Foundation, Korea Licensing Executive Society, and Korea Association of Entertainment Law, among others. He holds a B.A. from Seoul National University and an LL.M. from the University of Texas.

 

Kim, Dong Hwan

Kim, Dong Hwan is an associate at D’LIGHT Law Group, where he specializes in the ICT industry, including blockchain & cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, big data, and fintech. He is a leading presence in the firm’s blockchain practice group, having extensive experience in navigating clients through complex legal issues that new technologies such as blockchain inevitably involve. Prior to joining D’LIGHT, he worked as a legal counsel for Posco ICT Company Ltd. He holds a B.S. in electronic engineering from KAIST and a J.D. from Yonsei University Law Schoo


Nicolas Jacquet

Nicolas Jacquet is the marketing director of Hdac Technology. Hdac is a hybrid blockchain platform integrating public and private blockchains and is designed as an architecture for enterprise purpose to process a variety of needs in diverse industry fields. He has 13+ years experience in the mobile payment and e-commerce field. He directed marketing strategy for e-commerce at Adidas and was in charge of marketing and business strategy planning for ‘Samsung Wallet’ and ‘Samsung Pay’ in Samsung Electronics.


 

 

Dr. Roger Zbinden

Dr. Roger Zbinden is currently serving as Counsellor Trade and Investment and head of Swiss Business Hub at the Embassy of Switzerland in Korea. This role is concerned with market entry and expansion projects for Swiss companies into the Korean market as well as the active facilitation of Korean investment in Switzerland. Zbinden is an economist by training and graduated with a PhD from Hosei University (Tokyo). He also holds a MSc from Bern University (Switzerland) and an MBA from Warwick Business School (UK). Before entering the public sector, he held several roles as CEO in the IT and the media industry.


Nam, Minwoo

Director of blockchain business division, Penta Security Systems

Kim, Inhwan

The BOS Platform Foundation did ICO for the first time in Korea in May 2017, successfully raising 6,902 BTC in 17 hours. The foundation is located in Zug, Switzerland. Inhwan Kim is the president of the BPF Foundation and serves as the chief executive for the development and creation of the BOSAGORA platform. He started his career in F&B industry and made a success story in IT companies. Lee, Juhee

Juhee is a business enabler and serial entrepreneur. She started her first venture in the UK in 2005 and moved to Switzerland in 2013. Her venture in the gaming industry achieved over 200M USD turnover for 7 years operation by partnership with Samsung, SAP, SEGA, Electronic Arts etc. Since 2013, she has been serving as the VP of Emoji Games, providing blockchain eSports Network "Pocket Arena". Since 2017, she has been working in various ICO projects, obtaining Non-Action Letters from FINMA . Juhee is active in blockchain & crypto scene in Switzerland and in South Korea.

 

Prof. Heung-No Lee

The founder of LiberVance, Heung-No Lee, has developed novel DeSecure consensus engines using the channel coding and cryptography theory. Decentralization and security are two merits strengthened with the new technology. He regards blockchains and sensor intelligence as the key enabling technologies to move our society beyond the asset market centered economy toward a inclusive market economy, by providing engineering solutions to socio-economic problems such as the winner-takes-all and income inequalities. He is a professor in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at GIST. He has served as the Director of GIST Research Institute. He has authored more than 260 scholarly papers, including 71 SCI journals, and is a worldwide known expert in Communications, Radars and Spectrometers. He is Senior Member of IEEE. Scholarly awards include the Hae-Dong Academic Award 2019 by the Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers, GIST Research Award 2017, and the Scientist of the Month, January 2014, by the Research Foundation of Korea.


Dr. Shakil Muhammad

Shakil is Chairman of Reliable and Secure Solution “RNS”. He is researcher and serial entrepreneur and has experience in Computer and Networks Security, and he attended Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) for MS & PhD. He is architect and developer of 40+ Blockchain products. He manage group of security professional being Deputy Project Director (Cyber Incident Response Team) at Government of Pakistan for10 year’s. He remains IEEE editor, Network Foundation member and President to ISSAC-KAIST. He earned 08 professional security certifications RHCE, Certified Ethical Hacking, Oracle DBA, CISA. He also published several articles in conferences and journals.

 

Prof. IK SONG

IK Song is a professor of Management of Technology in Korea University. He is lecturing blockchain finance, technology investment & M&A and Digital Transformation. He is the found of DTech Investment Advisory, which connects global investment opportunities with Korean institutional investors and HNWI. He is also the found of Blockain Investment Academy and providing conferences and the unique education program called "BCapitalist" for blockchain investors, corporations and professionals. Blockchain Investment Academy aims to enhance the blockchain echosystem domesically and globally.


ShinHae Lee (GBIC)

Sinhae is Partner at GBIC — a crypto fund, and Block72 — a comprehensive blockchain consulting firm based in US, China, and Korea. Prior to joining GBIC, she has been deeply involved in the FinTech/blockchain industry in Silicon Valley. She led business development and operations at a payment start-up, Coin, which was acquired by FitBit in 2016 and later worked at NerdWallet, a FinTech start-up in San Francisco. She started her career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. She brings her Silicon Valley and consulting experience to the blockchain/crypto industry. Also, she is nominated for Top 100 Women In Fintech 2018 by Lattice80 along with other female leaders including some executives from JP Morgan, UBS, MasterCard, Tencent, and HSBC, and global Fintech Lead from PWC and KPMG, CEO of Bakkt, etc. Sinhae holds an MBA from Stanford University and a B.A. in Business from Korea University. Koh, Jin-Seok

Koh Jin-seok is co-founder and CEO of TENSPACE, a developer of AI social media analysis evaluation support solutions. He graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Seoul National University and served as CTO of 'I Love School', the first social community site in Korea. He is very interested in fintech, especially blockchain applications, and was selected as one of the five Huobi blockchain global leaders in 2018. He has conducted lectures and lectures 300 times, including writing 10 books and speakers at the 2019 Global Economic and Investment Forum hosted by Chosun Biz.

Shin, Shunho

Shin Sun-ho is a VP for ETC Labs and works with partners such as IOHK, FOXCONN, DFG, and DCG to act as a blockchain project accelerator and investment. ETC Labs aims to develop and expand the ETC community, core technologies and ecosystems through the ETC Labs Core and ETC Labs Accelerate.
